Wheel Care
Proper maintenance is key to preserving the pristine condition and longevity of your Intense Wheels. Our wheels, particularly those with sensitive paint finishes, require careful handling to maintain their aesthetic appeal and structural integrity.
Painted wheels:
Regular Cleaning: Clean your wheels regularly to prevent the build-up of dirt and contaminants. Frequency should increase if you often drive in harsh conditions.
Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Use gentle, pH-neutral cleaning solutions. We recommend products from Adam's Polishes, renowned for their effectiveness and safety on sensitive finishes.
Soft Cleaning Materials: Always use soft, microfiber towels or mitts. Avoid brushes or any abrasive materials that could scratch or damage the paint.
Rinsing: Start with a thorough rinse to remove loose dirt and debris. This minimizes the risk of scratching the paint during the cleaning process.
Polished wheels:
Regular Cleaning: Clean your polished wheels regularly to prevent oxidation. Use a gentle, non-abrasive cleaner specifically designed for polished metal.
Soft Cleaning Materials: Employ soft, clean microfiber cloths to avoid scratching the polished surface. Strictly avoid brushes or abrasive materials.
Rinsing and Drying: Thoroughly rinse the wheels to remove cleaner residue and dry immediately with a soft cloth to prevent water spots and further oxidation.
Polishing and Protection:
Regular Polishing: Periodically polish your wheels with a quality metal polish, like those available from Adam's Polishes. This helps maintain the shine and provides a protective barrier.
Minimize Exposure to Harsh Elements: Minimize exposure to road salts, chemicals, and prolonged moisture, as these can accelerate tarnishing.
Anodized wheels:
Gentle Cleaning Solutions: Use a pH-neutral wheel cleaner that's safe for anodized surfaces. Harsh chemicals can damage the anodized layer.
Soft Cleaning Materials: Employ soft, non-abrasive tools like microfiber towels or mitts. This prevents scratches and preserves the integrity of the anodized finish.
Rinsing and Drying: Rinse the wheels thoroughly to remove all traces of the cleaner. Dry them immediately with a clean microfiber cloth.
Avoid Prolonged Sun Exposure: Keep the wheels out of prolonged direct sunlight when possible, as UV rays can fade the anodized color over time.
